Makarios Satellite Earth Station is a fully developed Teleport operated by CYTA that has been in operation since 1980.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Lakeland Ledger - Google News Archive Search )〕 The site is home to a large farm of earth station antennas operating with a wide range of satellites from global operators. Makarios Teleport is connected with CYTA’s national and international fiber networks providing capacity and dedicated direct links with major international nodes. A multitude of satellite links are provided in C, Ku and DBS frequency bands. The Teleport is manned on a 24 hour basis for 365 days per year in order to support a diverse range of satellite communications systems and services.〔http://www.frederick.ac.cy/events/space/presentations/presen5.pdf〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Telecommunications in Cyprus )〕 ==Location & Climate== Cyprus's geographical position in the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea is an ideal location for Satellite Communications. Makarios Teleport offers full visibility of the geostationary arc, covering any satellite location between 33,5°W and 100,5°E with elevation angles greater than 10°. This arc provides visibility to a large number of satellites, which effectively allows access to any point on the globe.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Iris - Earth Station Site )〕 The climate in Cyprus, with extensive sunshine, low rainfall and mild temperatures, is optimal for satellite operations. Reduced margins for rain attenuation make it possible to provide links with enhanced availability.〔(【引用サイトリンク】date=30 May 2007 )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Makarios Earth Station」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
